JPN225 (Nikkei)

A Japanese index based on the top 225 companies traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, commonly called the Nikkei. Price-weighted and calculated daily since 1950, it operates in yen and shows a positive correlation to the currency: when the yen depreciates, listed Japanese stocks tend to rise. It is known for its day-to-day volatility.
